Party Report: Lily

I received a text message invitation to Diiman's party while in the middle of private research. I was unsure of how to proceed with this information.

Viveka interrupted my research shortly thereafter with some question about her own research. She has figured out how to work a computer as well as the average human. Joy. I will have to get her a "welcome to the internets. It is serious business." card.

Viveka had located a blog detailing the resistance movement in Karnetia. It is appropriately vague about locations and people, but does describe a cannon of some sort being raised. It also echoes fears that Mikheel's SO, Shaal, is dead. We tried to locate maps of Karnetia, but Google failed me. I was at a loss for words. Additionally, TOA's maps are old and incomplete. I'm adding their upgrade to my list of lab projets, which I fear may need to be handled by someone else if Zii keeps sending me out on missions. Viveka was eventually convinced to bring her findings to Zii.

Later that day, Zii called the team into his office to discuss the Karnetia/Mikheel/Hex Cannon situation. Because of Karnetia's political stance and closed borders, our team will not proceed without more information. We have established that this is not a team suited for delicate espionage missions.

Diiman had a party that weekend. He is a very attentive host. I was warned that someone from a possibly dangerous cult could be at the party. I compared the guest list to the list of known cult members and found an intersection between the two. I asked Ceelie to keep a mental "eye" on her.

Li had a private meeting with Diiman and some movie executives. I do not know the contents of this meeting, but it resulted in a dazed Li destroying part of Diiman's dwelling before departing. I do not think this was desired.

Shardra Haela was in attendance as well. She appeared to be tied to the bar, though not literally. She became quite inebriated and began to try to loudly discuss her previous relationship with Diiman. This spectacle was foiled by Diiman's intervention. Ceelie managed to "hear" the story anyway and shrieked at the ickiness of it. She later related the story to me, but I don't entirely recall it at this point. I believe that the "ickiness" can be attributed to Ceelie's relative age, as it was a mature story. Shardra was soon chemically convinced to retire from the party.

There was some information gathered from the previously-mentioned cult member, Erin Nustil. Ceelie mentioned that she thought "So that's what The Child looks like," before leaving. I am reluctant to elaborate on that further. Shortly after she left, Ceelie and I availed ourselves of the bar's contents and then proceed upstairs to join Tara, who had been hiding from the festivities the entire evening. Diiman followed us up after all his guests had left. We watched movies and drank.
