My dad might not be happy if he ever heard about this, but I have abandoned the use of weapons... I'm just not good at it... it was hard letting go of that crossbow I used to have, but I just will never be like him. I don't have good hand to eye coordination either... I'll just concentrate on training Totoro who'll always be there by my side protecting me, and I him.

I recently learned that our connection is so deep and our bond so strong that when he's deeply wounded and about to die, I am able to share his pain and wounds... it hurts terribly, but it's a small sacrifice when I consider what he does for me. I know he appreciates that, cause he'll often lick my wounds after a battle... he's so adorable... although he tends to slobber all over me with that huge tongue... and he still has stinky breath... oh Totoro, I still love you!

I also found that I'm now able to switch places with him by just screaming for him to hcome to me. I Haven't really had to use this in practice, but if ever I'm in danger, I'm sure that could come in handy. Funny because I think doing this gives Totoro the chills lol. He gets extra puffy!

On and off, I would see Maggie work on crafting some magical trinkets. Manny seemed to have picked up a similar skill, but he creates armor for battle. I decided I wanted to give that a try as well, although my eye for fashion is terrible and I'd probably end up creating the most boring outfits, so I think armor is not for me.

I picked up a few tricks from what Maggie was doing, and I actually have a lot of fun doing this! Somehow, my connection with Totoro also seems to have drastically improved my skill at this [that freebie Hub level 9 power], to the point where I sometimes can work without thinking about it and turn things around much faster!

All the materials do get very expensive though, and I've heard you can screw up and have everything blow up in your face... so I better be careful! I think I'll be able to start creating magic items to protect and help everyone in the party eventually! I'll try to sell my first few items... money is hard to come in our adventuring... It's not all plundering and looting like the adventurous tall tales you hear. In fact, I can't really think of the last time we ran into any loot in our adventures... we did find a cool folding ship though!!

OMG OMG OMG!! I love dinos and I am finally able to create summoning gates powerful enough to call them to my side! But the effort is too draining and right now Totoro has to lend me his energy for me to be able to open such a gate... which means he has to go back to his home plane... as much as I loove dinos, I looooooove my fluffy stinky Totoro even more! I'll have to work really hard to be able to summon them with just my energy so I can have them fight side by side with Totoro.

Sometimes after I wake up, I'll summon an ankylosaurus for a very brief period just to be able to pet it. They're HUGE!! Then once I have my fun, I'll summon Totoro. Funny, because it takes me a LOT longer to summon Totoro in the morning... maybe he's a really heavy sleeper and it takes him forever to wake up! lol. I bet he's adorable when he's sleeps... if he ever does... I never see him even taking so much as a minute to catch his breath... maybe that's why he sleeps so soundly and takes forever to wake up.

Now that Totoro is so large, he likes to bite a lot of things... he feels like he can eat almost anything... in fights, I saw him going for enemies legs... I think he was trying to trip them... he's not very good at that... I'm going to have to get him out of that habit... specially when he's fighting huge 8 legged demons! Silly Totoro, you can't trip them! They have too many legs!!

Over the course of our travels, we've encountered many strange creatures from other planes. I never thought these things would exist in my wildest dreams, much less that I'd ever encounter them and have to fend them off! These demons are incredibly dangerous. I've started learning a lot about them as we fight them on a regular basis (well, seems like we run into them all the time anyway).

I also make sure to keep brushing up and studying on all creatures and practice some of the meditation my dad taught me to make sure I use all my sense and pay attention to my environment... I do dose off from time to time though lol. I can't help it! Sometimes I find my self day dreaming that I might one day be able to summon a TRex!!

Magic in the Hub is crazy! I remember my mom always telling me to support your Idolon in battles, and I do that all the time. But, I don't think even my mom's magic was ever as strong as what I can muster here in the Hub!! Sometimes I feel like Totoro becomes and impenetrable tower of muscles and when he starts wailing on enemies, he just... he's overcome with so much power... it's incredible! The spirits that grant us their aid in the Hub must be very powerful!

I think next up, I'll try to learn magics that can strengthen the party at the same time... those are of course much harder to pull off and require a lot more skill, but I'm sure I can get there. I can already summon invisible wind spirits that speed up all the actions of the party... maybe I can work with some of the stronger spirits to help the party as well... it's usually easy to summon just one spirit to help an individual... but to get a lot of them to cooperate and listen to me... phew... that takes a lot of energy.

We prepped a few spells before going into the Inn, and it's a very good thing we did! There were all sorts of disgusting creatures there, including these gross creatures with huge mouths who dealt lots of acid damage. Thankfully Mara knew about these creatures and warned us about them, so I protected Totoro from that and he was amazing! (with my help, teehee!)

Totoro and Astera became nauseated and you should have seen Maggy! She picked up Astera's AXE!!! And kicked serious butt!! Totoro was running around like crazy but that helped keep the enemies distracted from the rest of the party. It got really dangerous at one point and I had to unsummon Totoro and bring in some Tigers which helped kill the last of those disgusting monsters!

Once we thought we were all done, I stayed inside with Maggy to make sure nothing else came through any portal. And while we were in there, a huge disintegrating fireball (apparently a blast from the void) blew up everything inside the inn! I took a big hit but thankfully I survived it... Maggy wasn't as lucky, but Manny came in and healed her just as we thought she had died! That was CLOSE!!! I still didn't feel too good after that, but it was a hard battle... ugh... good thing we knew it was a trap!

After the fight, Mara healed us all back to health... man, that was exhausting! Apparently, the last time the Void interacted with the Hub, was before the Mage Wars! That's a long time ago apparently, like over 10,000 years ago!

We headed back to the temple of Rambert to go see Belgart and told him about our fight at the Inn.

As part of the preparations, most of us got cold-iron weapons. While I'm not sure how likely I am to use it, it can't hurt to get one... just in case.

When we woke up, I felt super strong, in fact, all of us did... and Totoro? Holy crap I swear he could have moved a house!! This is some crazy magic in the Hub!!
We keep reading through all the notes while Manny and Astera help around with their extra strength boost. During lunch, a courier comes by with a note for the party and hands it to Mara. It's from Belgar.

Manny takes a look and apparently, it's a forgery! So we decided to go to Belgar to warn him about this. We head to the temple and noticed a pile of paladins outside. After a long discussion, they let us in and put us in a room to wait. Mara leaves to go do something I'm not too sure of, and then she comes back with Manny bringing her in because she was unconscious!! What the hell happened? We heal her up and she tells us that the high council was talking about how they can nix Nox, by eliminating night... to think anyone would have that kind of power... how......?

After waiting for a bit longer, Belgar shows up, and he seems a little disappointed when we tell him what Mara did, so he asks us to show him where she went to hear the council meeting. When we get there, we can't seem to reproduce what Mara was saying... this is getting weird. There seems to be some weird energy radiating but we can't seem to know exactly what it is.

Belgar decides to continue this conversation in his chambers. Clearly this has to be something crazy! When we get to his chamber, we mention the forged message, and he wishes us to go to the rendezvous spot to see what the intent was. He gives us a few items that we can use "just in case"... something tells me this might be a big ambush... I'll have to prep myself.

We went to the mage guild and got an invoice for the expedite research cost, and then we went to the council to get the money as they wouldn't do any of the research up front until we got them the payment. When we get to the council, the paladins there refuse to let us go see the council... well, at first, then we got them to let us in... we're good that way... well, Manny is anyway.

When we finally get to see the council, they all seem grumpy. But we do speak with them and they're ok with paying the bill for the research and providing additional, reasonable equipment!

As we are walking down back to the mage guild, we apparently set off some crazy teleport trap that teleported us into some warehouse, where we were attacked by a large group of weird gross eel and tentacle creatures....and... and... ugh, one of those nasty things got me... totally disgusting, I almost died... ugh... If only I had better spells and Totoro were stronger...

I think step one is to have a constant mage armor on for myself and Totoro... 24/7... it's a burn of good spells and with the way the Hub works, it's a little risky, but I have to do it... I don't want that to ever happen again! I'm gonna have nightmares forever...

As we arrived at the capital, we went down temple road. We went to the temple of Ramber (forgive my spelling, it's never been my forte... too many names and I'm concentrating on making Totoro stronger). A handsome paladin greets us and relays the message for us (well, some young boy does, but I'd like to think it was all the paladin's doing). The Paladin then tells us that the council will have an audience with us! This is going smooth!

We head into the grand temple for our audience and the Priest of Ramber is seating in the center, showing they're still the ones with the most power I think. Manny takes the lead in asking for possible answers to what happened. As we are talking to them trying to get answers, we brought up the recording we had of the event, where we saw the Balor and that Solar. They asked to see it, so we handed it over.

What we found out was amazing! They actually were able to identify the Solar based on the swords she was using. She was Ephrusiel, the right hand of Nox, guardian of the stars, song of creation (I want a fancy title like that!!) And just from knowing that she had decided to stay in the material realm, it doesn't bode well... something cataclysmic about to happen... which would put the candy weather to shame.... oh oh.

The Balor appears to be Tendrap, the demon lord, prince of anguish. The priestess of Taluah, says that he's also known as the Final Silence.

What they'd like us to do is try to find these two, find out what they're up to, and try to assist the Song (that's how I'll call her, cause that's so wicked cool!) in any way we can... not sure what we can do at this point (Totoro has a ways to go to fight those big demons if he can barely handle a boar), but we'll have to see.

I've decided that the party needs cool names like that! I talked to Manny... just needed to tell the rest of the party once we got out of the meeting. And I think the names....

Amber - The Sound of Silence, Daughter of the Fairies!
Astera - The Righteous Axe, Child of the Rainbow!
Maggy - The Voice of the Shadows, Maiden of the Underground!

Mara - hm.... I think she has a cool on already... what was it??

Apparently, Manny thought that the head priest was being manipulated during that meeting... we decide to go see Lt. Green. When we finally find him, it turns out he's not human... he's humanOID, but seems to be a plant creature of sorts. Apparently the captain is not well liked... but anyway, we were told that chasing after these two would not be a good idea... no crap... then again, imagine how strong Totoro could get!! If he doesn't die... although I think my mom told me they can't die... yeah... so I'm not worried there.

So yeah, we went to the magic guild and asked for them to do the research for us. 3 days... we're going to see if the council wants to pay up for an expedite.... the world IS at risk after all, right?

At night we met with Belgar, who was hodded to not draw attention. We met at a location with some sort of magical silencing spell that made it more soundproof so that people would not be able to overhear our convos. Apparently the ritual did the opposite of what was intended, and as a result, a lot of the gods have been going Primal, Nox among them. We at least had some good news, which was that we were given the ok to expedite the research! AND he paid for dinner! WOOOOOO!!!

As we took a breather after the fight, we all turned towards the fighter lady... she introduces herself as Rena. Apparently we freed a perry, which belonged to someone and hence why they attacked us. Apparently we were teleported to a warehouse by the docs, still within the Capital... well, back to work.

We head back to the Twin Tankards, and the group spends a bit more time than necessary prepping Mara for a date... hmph... like it's that big a deal, who cares about that (you can tell Lucia was somewhat jealous).

I decided to go get myself a nice cloak for protection sake. After that last fight, I was totally scared for myself. I ended up having to trade my cool Ioun Stone, and all of my money AND I had to borrow a bit from Maggie... but it was totally worth it... ahhh.... I feel much much better now... those demons and all those other strange creatures should be a little easier to handle now!

Apparently Mara's date was great... I didn't get a chance to ask right away because the mage guild sent a currier at about the same time with news. It has a book with all the research on the demon lord we're after... and he sounds like a freaking crazy beasty... I don't think we have a chance with him.... at least not until Totoro evolves!! When the hell will that happen??

Anyway, as we continue to read the research given to us, we find that we're being scryed. Once that passes (relatively powerful caster since it took almost an hr to vanish), we continue reading, and find weaknesses of holy and sonic, tons of resistances, high armor, resistances, and everything else pretty much. A few of us decide to spend the day reading the findings while the rest of the party goes and stocks up on cold-iron weapons and some other supplies.

Every day, imperial troops keep showing up to help rebuild, speeding up the recovery of the city. We find that all these weird events are definitely diety-related... so we decide to go to the Capital to see the Council to see if there's anything we can do about this.

We first go to the temple of Puccih, which is full of refugees and for the most part has been repaired. Astera apparently knows some people here, so we get to find some leads. We then went to the temple of Knox which was similarly full of refugees and guards. And finally we go to see the captain to let him know that we're looking to depart.

Before leaving, we go to the mage guild to pick up Mara's Mantis that was fixed... on the way there, we are attacked by two weird creatures... one that had a huge mouth in its belly, and another one that duplicated any time we hit it... some aberrations from some primal plane. After some fighting and after one of my spells went totally out of control, we beat them.

Outside we hear an explosion, and as we rush out, we notice a large eyeball creature with tentacles is shooting disintegration rays around and then suddenly a silver dragon sweeps down and destroys it and then flew away. For the life of me, I am not able to figure out what that thing was... as crazy as that sounds, we then saw a stampede of those multiplying things... except they were miniature... but there were a TON of them... Something very strange is going on.

This keeps repeating as these eyeballs show up and dragons swoop down and take them out. At one point, we even heard a huge dragon roar aura sweep through... wow, that was powerful!! In the meantime, we are heading back to the guard barracks to show the footage of the Mantis to the Captain. However, the guards where too busy due to all that was going on, so we had to leave and wait till the next day. As we walked out, another herd of even smaller purple creatures ran by towards an alley. So we decide to go around and help get rid of some of these...

We come to know that there's two silver and two gold dragons that protect the city. Eventually we get to watch the recording back and notice a huge Balor and a Planetar among the angels and demons... we show this to the Captain who tasks us with finding out the identities of those two.

In an effort to get Totoro stronger, I started researching a permanency of greater magic fang. I need to get a lot stronger before I can do that... and it's going to cost a lot... but I hear that's how the best Eidolons distinguish themselves.

I also went by and checked how the expense report on the stupid pearl is going... yeah, not happening anytime soon... I just HAD to do it right before the town was destroyed... blah... Oh well, I guess then I better help with Totoro and Astera in restoring this town as soon as possible! The town is happy to have me helping out by casting Ant Haul as much as I can, so I feel very useful!

We then started hearing rumbles of thunders for a few minutes, even though the skies were clear and it was nice and sunny... and then suddenly it starts raining miniature giraffes......??? Then after a few minutes, the "rain" stops and the giraffes scurry off into hiding and disappear. The one cool thing about this was that Amber actually took one of the miniature giraffes and tamed it for herself and it became her familiar! That's sooooooooooo cute! She named him Finnigan (Figgy for short).

...why can't Totoro be that cute?... stupid bad-breath goof ball.

Manny in the meantime managed to assemble a small theater troupe, who now are in charge of setting up concert dates and dealing with all that... wow, I knew he was a people person, but this is way more than I would have thought!!

When we wake up the next day, outside on the ground, everything is covered in some sort of weird shiny aqua powder, that looks like snow... except for the color. Manny (like an idiot) tries to eat it and gets a little sick... stupid showoff!

In any case, we finally do have the concert that night, and I dance to help Manny perform, then when I go to release our eagles for the show, the spell got out of control and I have no idea what happened... but everyone was staring at me and applauding... guess my performance must have been awesome!! (14...). After the concert, a couple guys approached me and I got all flustered and ran behind Astera to hide....

Towards the end of the day, a courier came by with an envelope for me! It was the money for the expense reimbursement which got approved! FINALLY! Then at the end of the day, we had another concert. This time I didn't screw it up, and a few men brought me chocolates, and very bad poetry... I took the chocolates :-D.

The next day we wake up and there's some weird multicolored hail... turns out that it's some sort of hard candy rain... why? Why did this have to happen after I ate all the chocolate?? what horrible timing! And it ended up raining ALL day!!! there was like a foot of it all over the place! The water supplies got all sugared up, and apparently other cities got different candy rains! When the rain stopped, the next day, the foot of candy was still there... and apparently other cities got worse things.

So we spent a bunch of time helping out around the town. I went around Mending things here and there as I could... while Totoro and Astera helped move stuff around. Manny went around the town cheering everyone with his songs.

As we are clearing the rubble, the road gets overrun with subterranean carnivorous plants (Basidironds) that appeared from out of nowhere! Totoro apparently inhaled some of their hallucinogenic spores and started acting crazy, so I had to kick him out and bring in a couple of dire boars to take over his place. After we killed like 20 of those things, lightning came down from the sky and struck all the remaining ones and basically disintegrated them! And most of us were blinded/deafened by those strikes!

Once we recovered, I summoned back Totoro tied him back to the wagon he was pulling and we finished the repairs we were helping with. Mara then started swearing at whomever was doing those lightning bolts and then an Angel showed up to tell her to stop swearing in Abyssal... very confusing.

Later that night Manny decided to cast a concert, and I tripped and fell as I was trying to dance to help the performance, and when I tried to do our usual Eagles show, I totally lost control of the spell, zinged myself and cast the totally wrong spell... ugh, sooooo embarrassing!

So, now that Skryfe was leveled, we went to Asterra's house, as that was probably the safest place we could go to. After a long night with lots of noise and lack of sleep, the majority of the party decided to sleep during the day a bit, except for Asterra who helped repair the roof of their house.

People from the town of Skryfe were busy rebuilding, helping people out, etc. Apparently, while there were some serious injuries, no one was killed! Some work of the
gods... or Goku. Most of us decide to go into town to see if there's anything we can help with. As we go through the city, we notice a topless woman healing a child... this seems just plain wrong, plus it's a little cold!! Apparently she's a priestess from some perverted church... definitely never joining THEM!

We eventually arrive at temple row. The temple of Kerrag looks repairable, and the temple of Puccih has a few cracks, but is ok overall, and the Temple of Knox was completely untouched, with lines of people outside of the intact temples, probably seeking healing or refuge, along with city guards, watching the priests just as much as the people themselves.

We went into the temple of Knox. When we go up to the high priest's chambers, we find that the doors are sealed, probably due to security from the recent occurrence. Mora tells him details of what we've seen as well as letting him know that her gizmo was able to record the whole thing, and that we just need an artificer to repair it.

Well, as we keep going through the town, we found that there were dead found among the rubble, so it was not a perfect evacuation sadly... but even then, the casualty counts were surprisingly low, which is a good thing. As we walk around, a guard comes by, recognizes us, and takes us to the captain of the guard at the guardhouse. We explain the whole situation to him, what we saw, and about all the artifacts that were used, destroyed, and about the one we needed to return to keep the sea monsters away.

While we are talking to the captain, the entire world turns into shades of purple for about a minute, and then goes back to normal... weird... we suspected maybe some god playing tricks or some major artifact or some such... Other strange things start to happen... As we were eating, people started changing colors and all sorts of weird things... Maggy aged like 10 years, Mara's face vanished, Asterra's hair ALL fell out, ... thankfully nothing happened to Manny or me, but Manny seems to have been too shocked by this and was fumbling all his utensils and everything (understandable)... that stew was really strong smelling though, cause the smell of the stew did stick to my clothes afterwards. After dinner, they all went back to normal... except for Asterra who kept her hairless body... poor her.

After the dinner, we throw a concert to help raise morale and the enthusiasm of people. It wasn't Manny's best performance, but it looks like he was still a little fumbly from what had happened before. Not his fault.

We waited in Malrick for a couple days while the rest of the party caught up to us. In the meantime, I went to the outskirts of town and trained with Totoro... I can feel him getting stronger! During some of our training days, Manny comes and joins us to watch Totoro as he trains!

When we got together, we noticed that the moons were still stuck! 3 Moons are stuck in Full, and the other 2 are stuck at New. But at least it seems we all succeeded at our tasks! YAY!

The next morning we head to the temple. We are greeted by the priestess who takes us to a small room where she unlocks a chest containing the Chalice. She then hands the Chalice to Mara and we are on our way back to Skryfe with the last of the artifacts, stopping at the Capital on the way.

Per Mara, Knox seems to be at a Primal stage. We decide to wait till the morning to return the last artifact. That night, I was awakened by some creepy creatures on the window!! I immediately ran to Manny's room and woke him up, then woke up Maggy. We decided to use Maggy's escape hatch to leave the house, and as I was trying to get through there, I got stuck! I tried a couple of times but couldn't do it on my own and Maggy, Totoro and Manny all had to help me for me to be able to get through... Maggy has one heck of a tricky setup on that tunnel!!

We finally get to Astera's house, and as her entire family bursts out of their house to kill those things, they vanish... I was able to tell that it was a summoning spell that either went short or got dispelled when we got there... very odd... (either way, that summoner must have been pretty impressive to summon THAT many at a time... or they had multiple summoners). We decide to then to go the temple and deliver the last artifacts, and most of Astera's family comes with us to make sure we don't run into anything crazy.

The high priest finally comes down to see us (we wasted a bunch of time on some lowly priests who had no idea what we'd been doing this whole time). Apparently, the state of the moons is not unusual given the circumstances. Also, the ritual will take a few days to complete. We decide to rest for the rest of the night.

As we departed from Berlin, we split into two teams. Manny, Maggie and me in one, and the rest in the other. Manny and I came up with a name for our team: Team Awesome Night Strike! Maggie wasn't too amused by it, but I'm sure it will grow on her... I think we should call them... Team High Justice!

We noticed that Shadow had been full for a while... normally a sign of a bad omen.... Last time something like this happened was about 100 years ago...

We were able to get the Chalice of the Tides from the merchant Tolfen! We then went to the temple of Ennox to get the Medallion of the Planes. After we showed them the letter from the council, they let me walk up to a stallion and just take the medallion... not sure why they thought that would be hard... oh well, we got the medallion and we were on our way to Whale Bay, making a stop by the Capital!

We go to the temple for the Conk Shell Horn in Whale Bay, but they seem to be using it to keep some other beasts away from the docks. We manage to convince them to let us borrow the artifact as they are able to keep the monsters at bay with some domain spells. However, they ask us for 2 days to test out that their spells work. Once we get the horn, we take the ferry to Kraken Bay.

As we went to Kraken Bay, we also noticed that Leo was also full... very bad omen. From there we headed to Malrick. We leave the temple all the minor artifacts for the Chalice of the Southern Seas... which they will give us in two days once they verify that the minor artifacts work.

In Malrick, we also helped the thieves guild find some delinquent members who stole from a protected merchant. Well... Maggie did most of the work...

With all this traveling that we've been doing fetching all these artifacts and gathering information at every town, I feel like Totoro has slacked off in his training the past couple months. As much as I regretted it, I left the party for a few days to train with Totoro.

He's getting a lot better at all the basic trainings (the waterfall, dodging rocks, etc.). Now I have to pit him against harder enemies to make him develop his skills faster, and we can also test all of our combinations with spells and techniques! We even practiced some flying techniques... he's quite good at maneuvering in the air considering he doesn't actually fly normally... I wonder if he'll evolve to some sort of bird... the suspense is killing me!!

Haste + Bear's Strength = PAWAAA MODE!

Mage Armor + Shield = TANKU MODE!

We even practiced teleporting him next to me using our Maker's Call ability! Great to save him in a pinch! Then I just quickly patch him up with Rejuvenate Eidolon and he can jump right back into the battle and totally surprise the enemy who is expecting him to be down and out!

I totally can't wait till he evolves!! ... I just hope he doesn't grow even fatter and stinkier... a fat skunk is not a cool Eidolon!

With all the different items we need to get now, we decide to go to Sailor's Rest, get the artifacts there, and then split into two groups to try to speed up the recovery of the various artifacts we need to get. Manny, Maggy and me in one group, and the rest on the other team

The next morning, we go to the temple of Bambi to obtain the Squirrel Statue. When we try to get the statue, it shoots fireballs as us... Maggie somehow manages to pick it up with no issues??? In any case, we depart for Sailor's Rest.

On our way to Sailor's Rest, we get attacked by a dozen hobgoblins... yeah, they proved no match for us. Totoro took out 4 in just 6 seconds!! After we defeated them, we took their weapon to sell later; 12 longs swords and 3 long bows... and 200GPs!

When we get there, we begin searching for the merchant who supposedly has the Titan's Pearl. A man there tells us a man named Ryler is likely to have it if anyone in the town does. We go to Ryler's home and end up having to buy the pearl for 100 PPs... I dished out the coinage, but I'll make sure Skryfe reimburses us!

We depart the Capital, leaving Nala behind as she has a lot to do since her 50 years of inactivity. Mara had a dream and based on the message in the dream, we decide to message Faron, and when we do that, an Archon appears from out of nowhere... turns out that it's sometimes a side effect of using the message spell we used. Well, we decided to "use" its services and sent him to the Council chambers in Skryfe to deliver some of the artifacts we've been collecting.

We also get a response from Faron and she tells us that she's going to Berlin. So we change our course and head for Berlin to meet up with her. After getting some rations, we decide to cut through a forest to get to Berlin, to save a good 4-5 days worth of travel.

On the third night traveling through the forest, we ran into this Hermit and we ended up spending the night telling stories and eating. He ended up traveling with us for a couple of days, we put up one of our concerts for him, and once we were out of the forest, he disappeared on the final morning.

We finally get to Berlin and find Faron talking to a random stranger. As we approach her, she collapses, and right after, so does the guy she was talking to. Both of them die right as we approach them, and the stranger hands over a bloody dagger to Astera and asks her to deliver the artifact to Skryfe (although this is not one of the artifacts we've been searching for), and right after, both Faron and the stranger start disintegrating. The stranger turns out to have been Barbio, Mara's "kid brother". It seemed that he performed a self-sacrifice to destroy her. There possibly won't be another high priestess of Knox.

After Mara takes a few minutes to recover, we follower her to the temple where she does a ritual where she calls on this old creature's "spirit" and we question him about what's happening. We are now left wondering what path to follow as it seems our quest might not be the best thing to do... we went to drink to think about all this.

The next morning we all went to a bath house to get cleaned from the last night's fight. Manny was so "kind" to pay for us.... pervert...

Nalla agreed to help us recover the Talisman of Structure for having helped her. When we entered the temple, as she approached the talisman, her wings and hair grew flaming hot! But we finally got the Talisman! One less relic to go!

Once we get the talisman, we explained to her what our mission is. She mentioned that what we are doing would create some sort of Pillar or something to help balance out the power between all the gods. We noticed that she was tired (and back to her non fiery self) when we left the temple, so we decided to rest for the night before heading out.

The next day, as we headed out of town, we were ambushed by the demon that escaped last time, along with a few others he brought along, including one BIG demon. We killed his group, but he got away... again! Ugh! that's so infuriating! He could do this to us again! Well, next time we'll be ready!... again...

On top of that, at the end of the fight we found out that Astera had contracted a Bubonic Plague from one of those demons we fought... great... let's hope it's not contagious and that she can recover from it quickly.

We decided to go to the Capital to get the Starfish Amulet and the Talisman of Structure.

Manny, Mara, Astera and I manage to get the Starfish Amulet from Lord Lobac with a conditional promise to return it once we are done with it.

We then discover that we have to rescue this guy who is held in this building inside a cage. It seems like it is guarded. As we are not sure if we should rescue him, we decide to first go to the Temple of Vess.

We go to the Temple of Vess to acquire the Talisman of Structure. In there we find out that we need a paragon of the temple to be able to acquire the talisman. Perhaps that's why we were told that we needed to rescue that guy in the building. The high priest from here could have done it for us had it not been for the fact that he was not available as he was away on official duty.

Astera and I headed to the inn while the rest of the party went to check out on the people guarding the building. They eventually find out that they would stay at a brothel for the night, so we took that chance to sneak into the building (which stank) and rescue the person. It turns out to be some sort of celestial creature who had been tortured for the past couple of years, and after we opened the lock to her cage (took Maggy a loooooong time), we left in a hurry, but we noticed the two demons coming at us. We managed to ambush them, killing one (Totoro and Astera make a great combination!), while the other one JUST managed to escape by teleporting.

We went back to the inn for Nalla to be able to rest and recover.

At night Manny decides to go and play at a local bar... nice little quiet show that then turned into quite a busy night. He's good...

After a couple days of researching, we managed to come up with the list of 5 minor artifacts that we would need in order to be able to take the Chalice of the Southern Sea and keep the sea monsters at bay:

1. Golden Shells (Melrick, owned by a noble). Need to be washed at sea, Dawn and Dusk, every day.

2. Starfish Amulet (The Capital)

3. Conk Shell Horn (Whale Bay)

4. Chalice of the Tides (Merchant in Tolthen)

5. Titan's Pearl (was sold to a merchant... )

As we are having dinner, this mysterious lady named Ghada (who turned out to be a fallen angel) shows up. Apparently some Abyssal creatures think that our mission is important and they're about to send us "assistance" preventing the return of the Primals. She apparently killed some night shade "messenger" (undead demon of some sort).

She also says that they have names for us... I'm the Summoned... I'm all confused now...

We spend a few more days doing more research, except for Asteria who went dress shopping and came back with a beautiful blue/silver dress! She got a date even! man... I have no such luck... bah!

At night Manny decides to go and play at a local bar... nice little quiet show that then turned into quite a busy night. He's good...

Well, it turns out that fighting those Durahans was totally worth it... we split tons of gold among the party!! This is so exciting! Although, I'm not sure we want to risk fighting Durahans again for that... it was a close call.

Maggie also managed to regrow the hair that she had lost from that time she used one of her wands. We then head out to Malrick and manage to get there without running into any trouble. Once we get there, we decide to head to the temple to obtain the next item. The temple is located in a seaside cliff, and the view is right over the ocean! It looked awesome!

We go to the temple for the Chalice of the Southern Sea. It turns out that the Chalice is actually being used currently to maintain some great sea creatures from attacking not only Malrick, but also the capital...

We decide to walk along the beach and we run into some drow named Jon who seemed to live in a cave by the beach... weird guy... In any case, we go back to the inn, and decide to throw another concert.. we did pretty well and then went to celebrate at the bar.

The next day, we are granted access to the temple's library (which cuts through some weird catacombs). After some research we figure out that what the Chalice is doing is radiating power that is amplifying the power of the sea and radiating it back outwards, probably preventing the big beasts away. So it is not pacifying, it is keeping them away with the ocean's power. This Chalice has more power on powerful beasts than weaker ones.

Prior to this Chalice, there were a few lesser artifacts that were used. They helped, but did not fully keep the beasts at bay. So we decided to first try to find all the other artifacts we need to collect, and come for this one last, after the high tide period so that we have as much time as possible to return the Chalice. Perhaps even find some of the lesser artifacts that used to keep the lesser monsters at bay.

After some more research, we find that each lesser artifact has a different function and might require someone watching over them and handling them in order to properly function.

Before we leave Whale Bay, we decide to toss a concert... a super coordinated concert! with 10 eagles! Not sure how that many get summoned here... the magic in this land is insane! I also help by dancing... I'm getting better at this!

We leave Whale Bay via a ferry going out to the Kraken Bay. During the trip there, Mara tells us about a dream she had, which leads to a huge conversation about gods, and primals and all sorts of religious stuff... waaay more than I know, but definitely fascinating!

Once at Kraken Bay, we go to the temple of Agna to get the Rocking Chair, and the temple is strange... it's... child proof? Well, with Maggy's help, we get out of there with the rocking chair that we need. That night, we decide we throw another concert! This time I summoned a bunch of dolphins to enhance our act (which already consists of fog effects, lights, etc. waaay too cool!). The concert actually went AWESOME and we made some good money out of it!

After the concert we were attacked by 4 Durahans... undead suits of metal... they took us a bit to take down, and one even got away... And got some nice gear out of them!

3 +1 fullplates and 3 +1 keen longswords

They did call Mara "a general of the armies of light"? I wonder what they meant by that...

Before we leave Whale Bay, we decide to toss a concert... a super coordinated concert! with 10 eagles! Not sure how that many get summoned here... the magic in this land is insane! I also help by dancing... I'm getting better at this!

We leave Whale Bay via a ferry going out to the Kraken Bay. During the trip there, Mara tells us about a dream she had, which leads to a huge conversation about gods, and primals and all sorts of religious stuff... waaay more than I know, but definitely fascinating!

Once at Kraken Bay, we go to the temple of Agna to get the Rocking Chair, and the temple is strange... it's... child proof? Well, with Maggy's help, we get out of there with the rocking chair that we need. That night, we decide we throw another concert! This time I summoned a bunch of dolphins to enhance our act (which already consists of fog effects, lights, etc. waaay too cool!). The concert actually went AWESOME and we made some good money out of it!

After the concert we were attacked by 4 Durahans... undead suits of metal... they took us a bit to take down, and one even got away... And got some nice gear out of them!

We went to look through the bargain bins for wands. We got an awesome deal on the 4000 gold Cure Moderate wand and we left, to continue the journey, but not before spending a day at the beach where Astera lost her top! That's why I wear a one-piece!

At night, we noticed some glow-in-the-dark creatures in the water, along with some merfolk... they were kinda cool, but we decided to go back to the inn to rest up for the next day's departure.

On the way to Whale Bay, we encounter a group of large undead orc shamblers... looks like they were resurrected from a crypt or something... in any case, we were able to take care of them with no problems... Totoro did really well again against them. Yay! He's starting to get much stronger! I'm getting excited... at this rate, I remember my mom saying he'll evolve into an even cooler, stronger summon! I can't wait! I wonder what he'll look like!? They're supposed to gain really cool powers too!

We finally get to Whale Bay and decide to check in at the Healer's Rest, a super expensive inn!! Manny offered to pay for all of us, which was nice of him... I think he's used to staying at these places. In any case, the entire party decided to get a massage...ugh... can't stand having random creepy strangers touching me... I just went and trained with Totoro.. he'll evolve in no time at this rate!

We go to the temple of Kiry, but before they can hand us the Golden Pillow, they say Manny has to prove his devotion to Kiry... no idea what exactly that meant, but he got the pillow made out of some gold fabric... rather plain looking otherwise, but yay! 2 down, 5 more to go! And we also sold a bunch of the loot we found from the shamblers!

The group went to deliver the news regarding the letters to the chief or whatever he is... thankfully, we are now ready to go out adventuring again... we're supposed to look for these 7 items for the High Council of Skryfe... This could be super fun and finally escalate us to Heroes!! The list is:

1. Welkin - Temple of Lodro - Scepter of Madness

2. Whale Bay - Temple of Kiry - The Golden Pillow

3. Kraken Bay - Temple of Agna - Rocking Chair

4. Melrick - Temple of Odierna - Chalise of the Southern Sea

5. Capital - Temple of Vess - Talisman of Structure

6. Tolthen - Temple of Enox - Medalion of the Plains

7. Berlin - Temple of Bambi - Squirrel Statue

On our way to Welkin, we fought 5 undead revenants. They took down almost the entire party, but somehow Totoro was able to last (thanks to my defensive spells!) and take down 4 on his own! Go TOTORO! I wish I could tell my mom about this, she's be super proud!

The temple of Lotro is weird... it has some sort of disco ball, random chairs all over the place, the doors are weird... We finally get the Scepter of Madness and it looks like it would be toy sized even for Amber!... really weird... and then it grows and it weighs a ton, because it's made out of gold... then I finally touch it and it grows tiny again... so I kept it cause that was easier to carry.

After obtaining the Scepter, we went shopping for bathing suits to go to the beach!

We decide to go through looking through the temples and see if we can figure out why they were having issues casting, although none of them told us that there was any concern there.

At night, Manny throws this amazing concert, although, the dancers were REALLY good!! On the way to the temple the next day, Manny commented that he saw me dancing during the concert. Maybe I'll try practicing so I can join Manny on his performances! I saw people giving coins for the performance... might be a way to earn some income!

Manny also told me that I need to start relaxing a bit and taking some time "off"... he said he'll take me to a massage thing next time we get a chance... I agreed to it, but to be honest, I'm not sure that I am comfortable with a random stranger touching me...

The next day we went to the massage and I freaked! A guy came in and asked me to take my clothes off! CREEP!! He left the room, and immediately I bolted out of that place! Gross!

The group then decides to throw another concert, which, to be honest, wasn't nearly as good as the first one... singing/dancing wise at least... the show intro was awesome though, thanks to Vitra and Amber!

The next morning, we went to see the captain because we had gotten a letter informing us that he had a new mission for us. We briefed him on what we knew, and then accepted the next mission: ...deliver letters to priests in this city...? Are they kidding us? Totoro isn't going to grow stronger this way!! God, I might need some more time off to keep him getting stronger. The letters have to be delivered directly to the head priest(ess) of each church...

Vitra and Amber came back with a list of artifacts for us to go and collect... all over the country! This should be much, much more exciting than delivering stupid letters! I'm so excited I volunteered with Estera to make sure we prep everything for the trip while the rest of the party goes do the boring piece.

After we were done with taking care of provisions, we joined the rest of the group to continue deliver letters... BORING! What reactions did they have? Bored, uninterested, you name it... and 7 gold for all this? I guess that's a lot for not doing much in one day... I'm starting to get spoiled. Apparently, these were just stupid census letters... God, even the priest of Knox is sending us on a letter delivery errand... since when did we lose our cool HERO factor and become errand girls (and boy)? I guess my dad was right, until we get our catch phrases going, we're not going to be recognized as heroes...

I decided that I want to get away from the party for a while and go train with Totoro in the wild. Too much city life will dull Totoro's capabilities and make him a fat cat... which is what he is now... he needs to do a lot of training, sneaking up on and chasing prey, climbing, and maybe some of the more advanced trainings that my parents taught me.

Day 1:

Training 1: Sneaking up on prey... Fail! Idiot is so noisy and stinky, he can't sneak up on anyone.

Training 2: Chasing prey... Success! Well, since he wasn't able to sneak up on it, he had to chase it. This was easy, since I didn't feed him and he had no choice.

Training 3: Fight against a badger... Success! Badgers are a joke anyway, but he wouldn't fight anything else.....

Training 4: Climbing... Success! ..... cause he had to run away from the boar or get his ass kicked. Oh well, while he didn't fight, at least he climbed. Any training is good training

Tomorrow we'll do some more complex trainings. He'll get a lot more tired, but they should be much more effective!

Day 2:

Training 1: Stand Under Waterfall... Fail. He didn't want to get wet and decided to skip it and go nap. I punished him!

Training 2: Dodge Boulders... Fail. He just... didn't move... idiot. Now he got injured and can't continue training for the rest of the day... stupid stupid stupid!

Day 3:

Training 1: I tried to push him but he refused to do anything. He's hurting from the boulder. He's done for the week.

Well, that does it for the week... sigh, I guess I'll go back to the party and let him recover... Hopefully we can avoid battles for a while, or I'll have to summon other things during battle until he heals. At least I have Manny to look forward to seeing again... hm... I stink after all this... I better get cleaned up ASAP!

That last whole fight taught me that we need to be better prepared, at least, Totoro does. I told the group I had something very important to do, and left them for a few days to train Totoro.

Day 1:

Training 1: Sneaking up on prey... still Fail! I gave him a bath so he doesn't stink, but he's still noisy as all hell... he can't sneak up on anyone.

Training 2: Chasing prey... Success! Well, since he wasn't able to sneak up on it (AGAIN), he had to chase it. This time I gave him something to munch on... I felt bad... he was exhausted.

Training 3: Fight against a... snake!... Success! I made sure it wasn't a poisonous one... ok, good good, he is starting to fight more without me having to force him.

Training 4: Climbing... FAIL?! ..... But you were successful last time!! I guess without anything to run away from, he had no motivation... grrr!! TOTORO!!
Tomorrow we'll try the same exercises as last time... a full week of exercises as per my mom's instructions!

Day 2:

Training 1: Stand Under Waterfall... Fail? Success? I dunno... in theory, you stand there and withstand it... he just got crushed, but technically he was under the waterfall...

Training 2: Dodge Boulders... Fail. That waterfall thing just was too much as he's hurt... boo!

Day 3:

Training 1: Fight against... a boar! Success! Well, kinda... he beat the boar, but he's now done... he's too hurt... I'm proud... last time he ran away from the boar... ok, let's build more strength and stamina than speed... speed and dexiness doesn't seem to be his forte...

Well, that does it for the week... back to the party and let him recover... Hope the party made ground on finding out all that mysterious stuff with that town...
