* 1 can (3.3 lbs) Brewers Best Light LME
* 1 can (3.3 lbs) Brewers Best Amber LME
* 1/2 lbs coffee malt
* 1 lbs roasted barley
* 1/2 lbs carapils/dextrine malt
* 1/2 lbs crystal 90 malt
* 1 oz Kent Goldings hops pellets
* 1 oz Fuggle hops pellets
* Wyeast 1098 "British Ale" smack pack
* 5 oz priming sugar

Brought 2.5 gallons of water to 172 F.  Added malt and started a 45 minute timer.  Brought 3 gallons of water to a boil, removed from heat, added LME and wort, returned to heat, brought to a boil, added Kent Golding hops and started a 1 hour timer.  Did 3 cycles of protein break.  At 15 minutes left, added the fuggle.  Cooled partly outdoors and partly in a sink of cold water.  Pitched at 84F. Actually came out as a brown ale.  I'm a little confused by this, but at least it's tasty.
