Elara has Gwen Stefani's looks and Tank Girl's attitude.  In other words, she's a cute, slender blonde with a thing for heavy artillery.  Her mech is basically a tank with legs, and you can just make out a scratched off and painted over military insignia on it.  Like most of the group, she's had a run-in with the law, but doesn't talk about it much.  If she's hanging out, she usually wears a ripped white tank top and olive green fatigues.
