** ''Diiman's car, the Black Tiger, was custom made for the movie. It drove production costs waaaaay up, so the movie had to be a success. Making it a prime target for extortionists.''
** ''For about a month during filming, Diiman took a dare (a double-dog dare, actually) from a close friend to get a pizza delivery job with the Black Tiger. He worked for Pizza Gazebo on weekends after filming finished. The hiring manager didn't know who he was (he applied under his real name), but the customers knew! It not only ramped up excitement for the film (the Black Tiger's roar is very distinctive) but it turned into fantastic word-of-mouth advertising for Pizza Gazebo. They made a commercial about it when the movie came out on VHS later that year. This is cited in marketing classes across the country as an early example of viral marketing.
** ''During the shooting, a world-famous gang offered "protection" for the Black Tiger and Diiman. The studio refused, and the gang swore accidents would happen.''
