The Mechanic is a fateweaver who specializes in technology from the 1700s to the 1980s. During that time he was considered the "Fateweaver of Technology" but now that title is used to refer to Mother Joule.

The Mechanic is about three feet tall. His form is similar to an armadillo's. Reports say there are thousands of gears, lights and wires inside him. Some say he has a steam exhaust emerging from the tail. Reports are sketchy since he fell out of the limelight during the 80s.
