Barasht is a well-trained Spell Siphon and a good teacher, though he is not so talented at either as [[LongestRoad Klynne|Klynne]]. His markings are white, looking almost like pale, faded scars on his aging skin, and his white hair lends an additional look of age to his face. Most people assume he is quite old. While his age is advanced, especially for a Pevishan, he is not quite as old as his pale coloring makes him seem. He, however, has had less luck than some others in extending his short, Pevishan lifespan through magical means.
