Alternity Run3
After a few days working, we got a message that our ship had arrived. A really nice shuttle picked us up and took us over to look at it. Such a pretty sleek little blue thing. Like a dark blue metal color. So nice. Anyways, first we had to talk to this guy Cyrum, so we shuttled over there. His ship was huge, and even nicer. All black. The name of it was ______. K says it's a reference to the Mechalus god of death. Cyrum's Mechalus, did I mention? (FILL IN PLZ)
So we went to see Cyrum to talk- well, mostly Marcus did the talking. Evidently Marcus's dad owed Cyrum a ton of money, so now Marcus does instead. Umm... okay. We still get the ship, right? We'll work it out. It looks like it'll be about a million and a half. But he says he'll cut it in half if we ferry this passenger, Jax, over to this system. Sure, that's a lot of money. So we head over to our lovely ship.
Man, is there some weird stuff here! We did some exploring and found some pretty cool stuff. Well, and some weird stuff. Like ten pleasure-bots in some hidden cargo space. Umm. Um. Also, some random other cargo, some tech we have no idea what it does, and a bunch of doors that don't open. Also, this weird red crystal that ends up knocking Gerd out when she tries to make psychic contact with it. Weird! We did some basic cleaning, got hydroponics going again (it was all rotted), stocked the cupboards, and fiddled around for a few days.
Gerd decided she was going to do some scouting, out-of-body. It didn't go so well. You see, the ship is haunted, and while she was out, something slipped into her body. Kamir was all fierce and scared the crap out of it, made it flee, but not before Gerd had managed to stab herself with a psychic blade, nearly killing herself. Oh man! Rough!
We also found out that behind one sealed door is what remains of Rick Steele, once-captain of this ship. He's been there about ten years, so not so fresh-looking. If we can get past that darn door, he's got some kind of camera in his hand. It might help unravel the mystery of how it all happened- how that weird red crystal drove them all crazy and made them kill each other. Good thing we knew better than to let it rule us...
So, just as we'd patched Gerd up with the help of this healing crystal, Jax appeared. Awkward... she's some kind of cyborg, and has no sense of humor. This'll be one long flight...
