Characters
Group A
- Ike Kandi is a Scandinavian Hunk who is good at saying the magic words needed to charm people and get what he wants. He has a bad streak filling in mundane jobs, but he is naturally adept at saying the right thing.
- Eckels is a treasure hunter. He studies old civilizations, weasels his way through traps, and knows how to get cheap deals. He is also a pack rat, usually has to be pulled away from any rare items (whether or not they are valuable, he'll find a use for them.)
Group B
- Totalle (pronouced Toe-tall) formerly a car stunt actress who joined this Team. She's quite the daredevil when it comes to vehicles and knows no fear. To the point where she has no self-preservation.
- Little Terror suffers from a growth disorder that makes her tall but skinny as a pole. She's learned how to brawl pretty well as a result of being teased. She also has a short temper, going on Pesto-style rants whenever anyone talks about her fighting ability.
Badguys

Two men run through a hallway filled with prison cells. Several prisoners cheer them on with a, "Down with Vortex!" The taller, blond male leads the way. "Eckels, you have the good catch. Now we have good escape!" "Yeah Ike, I know...geez how do you run like that?" the short thin man gasps. "I ran paper delivery route once. Had to outrace dog. Now we outrace guard!" Ike and Eckels boost past a group of alert and not-distracted guards. One of them pulls out his comm and calls for "Mr. Vortex! Mr. Vortex!"
A guard triggers the alarms at Vortex Correctional Facility. "Incoming enemy chopper! Take them down!" Twenty guards line up on top of the prison wall, guns blazing.
"Hey L.T. You got a plan when we get in there?" The pilot turns to her scowling co-pilot, a tall and lanky pale-skinned woman. "Sure. We go in, slap Eckels for this stupid mission." The pilot grins, "AND we get the goods. Try to remember 'Terror." Little Terror turns and gives a death glare to the pilot. "You saying I don't remember stuff? I'm some kind of Neanderthal, here for you amusement?"
Totalle knows to keep her mouth shut and let Little Terror burn herself out. Besides the guards just shot the hydraulics system out, and Totalle needs to crash this helicopter with style, or it ain't worth the ride.
Several guards jump off the roof as the copter scrapes against the wall and crash lands into the courtyard. The guards swim out of the moat and run off. Little Terror leaps out of the copter and tackles several guards. Totalle rolls out of the flaming wreckage, automatic rifle drawn and runs. "Hmm, they should've been here by now. We need to get in there," Totalle thought. She scans past the guards and smiles when she sees a way in. Risky, but worth it.
Only feet away from the yard door, Mr. Vortex and his elite guards surround Eckels and Ike Kandi, experimental "Vortex" weaponry drawn. "My children, did you really think you could escape Vortex Correctional Facility?" Vortex chuckles. He starts to pace when Ike steps forward. "Actually, my friend and I, we thinking you go to jail for your weapons and treatment of your prisoners. We have your 'Vortex' weapons which are the highly illegal, right Eckels?" Eckels nods, he's a bit less nervous as it's time for the filibuster.
"We also see the prisoners, they are used as target practice for your weapons. This is not of the good. We are of a Team, and we are hired to sneak in, steal your designs for illegal weapon, and arrest you. Now you are of the thinking, 'Stupid Team, we outnumber you eleven to the two.' You are of the forgetting of two points. One, I stall for time with conversation. Two, my partners, they will be doing something stupid soon."
Right on cue, a car rushes through the wall, throwing debris everywhere. Half of the guards and Dr. Vortex dive for cover as Totalle hops out, firing her AKA47 at the other half. Ike Kandi and Eckels run for the car. "Totalle, L.T. thanks a mil. Ike likes to talk, but-" Little Terror grabs the prototype weapon from Eckels and shoves him into the back seat. "Shut yer trap and stay in the car. Me and Totalle gonna make some noise." But Totalle already laid suppression fire and forced the others to surrender. L.T. shrugs and grabs Mr. Vortex. "At least I got this fool to slap around."
A few days later, the team is in Kaye's office, top floor of the Head Building of Kayetown. Kaye himself has Vortex's weapon disassembled, notes on it are littered through the office. "Good job Team", Kaye nods as he addresses them. "Vortex is under arrest, his correctional facility is shut down, and I can use that space for more housing. Plus I get to take a look at how this weapon of his works." Eckels raises his hand. "So, uh, we found another job. L.T. was talking to this kid and her older sister is being hunted down by some corrupt cops." Kaye leans back as Eckels gets into his spiel.
"We were thinking like, 'We can save her. Cut off the source, corrupt government officials, criminal syndicate behind the scenes. Maybe find some incredible gizmo or trinket ta sell to the highest bidder.' But we'll need some sponsorship, y'see. You up for it again?"
Kaye smiles and leans forward toward the team. "Tell me more..."
