Chadius: TOA Summary 5/13/08

• Party winds down
  • Splash fight: Lily + Tara + Diiman + Merms vs Some others vs Li + Ceelie
  • Ceelie finishes off the food
  • Party heads to LA to play in Diiman's pool
  • Gets Tara more drunk, she passes out

• Next day
  • Diiman loads up
  • Ceelie rearranges her house
  • Tara changes clothes
  • Heads off to TOA HQ

• Lily is a bit worried about a sheet of paper
  • It says: "Let's play a game. Don't Wake Daddy."
  • They're not sure where it came from.
  • Diiman got a blank sheet of paper. It showed "BAM!" When he yelled "it's D-day."

• Back in TOA
  • Lucy's at her desk, seems kind of nervous and fatigued
  • Meeting's in an hour
  • Reginald sounds like he's on the run, Ralph McKinnesly lives in Chicago

• Meeting with Zii
  • Needs Tech Support to run apps
  • Lucy's taken a vacation, first time in 15 years
  • Something is causing blackouts in Chicago, followed by rioting
  • Agent Eridel takes point

• Meets up with Eridel and Madame Ruff
  • Robots are attacking neighborhoods, causing blackouts and riots
  • Ohno, a blackout! Everyone heads over.

• Li disarms a robot's guns, shot by eye lazers
  • Ruff tackles a robot, Eridel nukes one into a car
  • Li smashes Agent Eridel, then smashes robot.
  • Robots explode; Li ignores most of it
  • Lily gets some info off of the robots before they explode/melt

• Reginald's hiding under a rug
  • Lily escorts him back to base

• Li airlifts Madame Ruff out of there

Brain Dump: Ceelie

So after Zii opened his presents, he had to go pretty soon to get back to work. But, he said the fancy neat dimension with the awesome tropical island would stay open for a couple more hours, so we could all hang out and have fun for a while longer if we wanted. So we got to run amok on the tropical island! It was great, me and Li had this awesome splash fight with everyone else and we got to talk to people and sit out in the sun. It was warm and breezy and beautiful. We did run out of food, but no party is perfect, right?

We were still having loads of fun when the dimension had to close down, so we packed up the crew into the Black Tiger and headed back to D's place in LA to keep partying. He has a great pool -- not quite as great as our own, personal tropical island, but still pretty cool. It has a really fun water slide and stuff. It has a little bump at the end and it's really fun to ride all the way down and then unfurl your wings at the bottom so you get this sweet ski jump effect. Anyway, there was more food when we got home, which was good, and more sweet, fruity drinky stuff, which Tara seemed to like too. After a while people started going to sleep. Since Li wasn't in China anymore, I got a little bored at night, so I redecorated my house a little.

See, the living room has lovely cream walls with dark trim, and the furniture is all dark wood and royal blue. In the den, the walls are this lovely sky blue, and the sofa is sort of a deeper green. So what I did is drag the green sofa and chair into the living room, and switch the cream and gold cushions onto it, and move the royal blue corner couch over into the den, so now the royal blue and pale blue pair together, and the green goes with the cream. I left the gold throw pillows in the living room though -- the green and gold just looked quite lovely together. Then I had to switch the curtains too, because they matched the upholstery. Once that was finished, I went up to work on the bedrooms. I decided I still like the dresser in my room the best, but I did switch the nightstand and desk. It had definitely been too long since I redid the LA house. I should remember to speak with D's gardener about getting some help trimming the roots of my little blue spruce too.

Anyway, as you can imagine, all that struggling with furniture took the whole night. People started waking up and we had breakfast. Lily seemed a little freaked out, 'cause someone had left her a note (!) that said "Let's play a game. Don't Wake Daddy." I thought her whole thing was something about a Mother. When did Daddy get involved? No wait...don't answer that. Awww, you thought it. Hey, stop that!

D had a funny note too. Well, it wasn't really a note, exactly. It was sort of a blank sheet of paper. And then he did his whole "It'd D-day!" thing, and it said "BAM." Well, it didn't say it out loud or anything. Seriously, you knew what I meant.

Anyway, our vacation was pretty much over so we figured it was time to saddle up and head back to TOA HQ. I think Lily was talking to Reginald again on the way there. When we got there, Lucy looked totally distracted. She was all nervous and seemed exhausted. She's always so busy. I wish she got to take more breaks. Anyway, it turned out our meeting with Zii was in an hour, so we had a little time to kill. I took D on an awesome blitz-tour of the HQ waving to people and saying hi and meeting everyone. It was great! It's funny watching people be really surprised when they meet D in the hallways, even though I'm sure all the agents know he works for the Agency.

When we got in to Zii's office, he was totally baffled by his computer. Then, suddenly, Grapha was there, showing him how his calendar works. I never knew she did tech support, but apparently, she does. For Zii, at least. It turns out Lucy was taking a vacation. Which seems odd, because she sure was working hard when we came in, but I guess she was just getting everything all set up before she left. I hope everything is okay, 'cause she apparently hasn't taken a vacation in 15 years! People need vacations more often than that, so I am glad she'll have some time off.

But, the world still turns! Apparently, something is causing blackouts and riots in Chicago! Wait a minute, Ralph McKinnesly lives in Chicago! Hmm. TOA team, go! Agent Eridel is in charge of things out there, and Zii wanted us to go out and help. So we got a portal set up and headed over to Chicago to see what's happening. When we got there and met up with Agent Eridel, it turned out Mme Ruff was there too. Is Li always that red? I don't think so.

They explained that things were swooping out of the sky and breaking into houses. That seems pretty weird. As we were talking about it, trying to get any details, though there weren't many, another blackout hit nearby. We all ran over and found crazy robot things attacking a house. Li started beating them up, Eridel took one out, Mme Ruff tackled one. I managed to get mind barriers on a couple people. I'm not much good against mindless robots, but at least I can do a little to help protect my friends. Then Li threw an epic punch...right into the side of Eridel's head. Whoops. Then he swoops around and creams one of the robots (nice save). Turns out they explode. Whoops. D figured out if you shoot one little spot on their head, they don't explode after all (nice save). I guess Lily figured out how to get a bunch of data off them before they blew up, so she had plenty of info to sift through. Meanwhile, I started scanning the house to see if there was anyone in there. And, in fact, someone was hiding in one of the rooms, thinking to himself "Oh no, they're here for me." or something like that. This seemed a little odd to me, so I put him on the map for the team and we decided to go extract him.

Turns out it was Reginald.

I feel a Plot coming on. And Reginald has a lot of explaining to do, I believe.

So we took him back to the base with us. Li picked Mme Ruff up and carried her back to the base, while the rest of us rode there in the Black Tiger. There were definitely a lot of things we needed to straighten out!
