Overview

Here's the specfics for creating All Dem Teams characters using BESM Third Edition.

  • 140 Character Points (near the 150 barrier between Human and Heroic)
  • Choose Attributes suitable for humans
  • Expect 1-5 CP per session (probably 2 per session)
  • Will use Energy Points (Mind + Soul * 5) to alter checks
  • Skill checks are Multi-Genre all campaigns, except for Demolitions (2 CP) and Driving (3 CP)

Benchmarks

You should consider these benchmarks when making "normal" characters. They are similar to Human level except for Point allocation (Heroic level)

These are not specific limits, so don't feel boxed in by these.

  • Maximum Attribute Level 3
  • Combat Value Range 3-7
  • Health Points 30-90
  • Percentage of Points Allocated to:
    • Stats 60%
    • Atrributes 20%
    • Skills 20%

Attributes

Your characters should be mostly human. There are attributes that are suitable for human use. If you chose attributes not on this list, talk to me about it.

You can look this up on page 17-18. Any attributes with an asterisk are appropriate for normal humans.

Skills

The skills are the same as they are on Multi-Genre All Campaigns, on Page 89. The exceptions are Demolitions (2 CP per level) and Driving (3 CP).

Energy Points

Characters have EP equal to (Mind+Soul) * 5. When you run out of EP, you fall unconscious from exhaustion. You can restore ( (Mind + Soul)/2, round up ) Points per hour. Someone with an Aura of Inspiration can let his friends recover additional Energy.

Ways to spend EP:

  • Spend 10 energy for a +1 bonus to any check. You can declare this before or after the die roll. The maximum bonus is your Soul stat.
  • Add the Deplete variable to an Attributes
  • Fatigue, thirst, starvation
