Brought 2 gallons of water to 185F, soaked grains for 45 minutes.  Added LME, 1 gallon of boiling water, and 1 gallon of hot tap water.  Brought to 190F, added Hallertau hops and set 1 hour timer.  At 30 minutes added the irish moss.  At 15 minutes, added the fuggle hops.  Cooled in a sink of cold water to 88F, topped off with cold water, and pitched at 77F.

Blond Bombshell

  • 2 cans (6.6 lbs) Breiss pilsen liquid malt extract
  • 1 can (3.3 lbs) Muntons extra light liquid malt extract
  • 8 oz Amber malt
  • 8 oz carapils
  • 8 oz Munich I
  • 4 oz Halcyon
  • 2 oz Special Rast
  • 2 oz Brown malt
  • 1 oz Hallertau hops pellets
  • 1 oz fuggle hops pellets
  • 1 tube White Labs 002 English Ale yeast
  • 1 tsp irish moss
  • 5 oz priming sugar
