Okay, picking up where D didn't leave off yet...

D flew over to retrieve the magic carpet revealed by Deen's awesome fireworks show -- apparently an Aladdin X-2000, according to Magus. He towed the carpet and the three guys on it back to the barge. Deen was okay, and gave me the express flight back across the river. I really need to get Li to teach me how to fly. But he's all stodgy about teaching, so maybe I'll end up having to ask Deen. I bet he wouldn't mind.

Sunshine had her snack in tow as well, and we gathered up the hostages and put them in D's trunk, along with the magic carpet. But it's okay, 'cause it's a luxury trunk, and they were generally bleeding and unconscious or gibbering stupidly anyway. Darco guided the escape sub, with Li, Lorei and Tara aboard, safely to shore, and they continued on to the DDC headquarters. D drove the rest of us there so we could see if Darco or anyone there wanted to talk to the hostages before we went back to TOA, but they didn't, so we ended up packing them back up in the trunk again. Darco was happy with us though.

Then we headed back to the TOA headquarters. Why's it always a headquarters anyway? I wanna see the TOA hindquarters. Haha. Butts are funny!

When we got to Zii's office, he was pretty pleased with how the operation went. He said we did a good job protecting Lorei, and that Deen may want to join up, and that Darco was even hoping Li might train him. Not so sure how that one is gonna work out. Then D got up and started doing backflips, and I sort of lost track of the conversation, because it's really hard to hold on when he does that. I was going to be super-cool and do backflips too, but then my foot got stuck in one of the bullet holes in D's jacket, and I faceplanted on the chair. It totally had to be the bullet hole 'cause I could do my flips just fine on the chair! It was really embarrasing, and I think I twisted my shoulder too. Big meanie and his bullet holes.

We sort of went home after we talked to Zii. Pokey headed home to read, and Q went back to the lab, and TJ went back to his calligraphy, and Sunshine went to bake cookies, and D and I went home. And then Sunshine took one of her cookies and went to talk to the prisoner, which is really sort of funny, bringing a snack to your snack, but he was really scared and it was kinda funny. Scared of a cookie? Awesome.

Pokey got home and checked her mail, and found out she had an eeeeeevil letter from the nasty guy who was mean to her, and it just said "Hi!" and it was really creepy, and she got really scared, and it was a bad enough scared vibe that I could hear it all the way in D's house. So when I freaked a little and told D, he called her, and we packed up the Mobile Home Theatre (tm) and brought a bunch of movies over, and I got to make the popcorn! Crunchy! We watched movies until everyone fell asleep in the living room. I fell asleep in the popcorn. I bet D took a picture. He always does that. But the coffee table got sort of uncomfortable in the middle of the night, so I went to sleep on the back of the couch instead. Then in the morning we took Pokey back in TOA to see about getting a temp room for a few days.

So when we got to TOA, D and Pokey talked to Lucy at the front desk about getting a room. I went on ahead to talk to Zii and see if he wanted me to help with asking the henchmen questions, 'cause I've been practicing and I can think people better now, and he said I was doing a really good job! Then Deen was there and wanted to talk to Li, so Zii called TJ down and I was hanging out for a bit while they chatted. You know something? Zii's mango iced tea is really good. You know something else? D is really silly about cars. Somehow he wandered his way past the lab and heard Q working on her bike, and went and got all covered with grease. I think he didn't want me doing any more backflips on his shoulder. Big meanie and his engine grease.

While TJ and Deen and Zii were talking, Lucy came and told Zii that Pokey had requested a temp room. He called up to her to see what was up, and she started talking about an eeeeeevil letter from Henry, and Zii got this awesome "who the heck is Henry, and why do I feel like I should already know that?" look. So he goes in his file, and he's like, "Well, Henry was the accountant who was your next of kin and took care of you when your parents died. And then he legally released you when you were old enough." And then Pokey was like "Blood...Death....Destruction....." and said everything was all different, and Henry was awful and horrible and went to jail and stuff, and Zii was like "Uh-oh, I think he got weaved." And then I asked why it's "weaved" instead of "woven" but he didn't answer and I think it's just 'cause whoever said it first wanted to sound all smart. So Zii called Pokey in, and gave her some funny token coins and said she should go down to room 005 and ask about more info on the weave. She called up to see if Sunshine wanted to come along too, for general moral support and also awesome occult goodness.

So, the four of us head to room 005 and knock, and the door opens a crack but it's like no one's there. So we go in, and sure enough, it's pretty much an empty room. Then suddenly TJ notices there's no ambient noise outside. Crazy. And then this fate weaver walks in. She said her name was Grapha, and she took led us out of the room, past the people who weren't moving, up the hallway, through a portal, into her awesome crystalline study. It looked fragile and TJ was afraid of breaking stuff, but she said the chairs would be okay even if he sat on them. Then Pokey explained the whole thing again and Grapha started looking up info on it. She found out the name of the fate weaver who did it -- Tarxius, who apparently specializes in jailbreaks -- and told us a little about it. Then she said we'd used up our money, and escorted us back out, through the portal, up the hallway past the people who had moved a little while we were gone but still didn't look like they were moving, and into room 005. Then everything got normal again and we went back up to talk to Zii.

Zii said basically Pokey's got two choices: ignore it, or go talk to this Tarxius guy and ask him to undo it. Q did her computer researching thing and found a bit of a trail. The last place he was seen was in TOA headquarters! Well gosh! What's he doing in here? Ridiculous! Before that, he was sighted in -- you guessed it, SoHo. Pokey's corner of town. So she decided it's probably better if we go looking for him and talk to him. But that's a pretty scary thing to do. Meanwhile Q found his email address and is writing up some kind of email and signing him up for a bunch of mail he doesn't want. Or something. Maybe she's going to try to trick him into meeting her about a jailbreak she doesn't really need, so then we know who he is and who we're dealing with, and what he looks like, and stuff. I think we haven't figured out a whole plan yet, but we'll come up with something. Oh, and Zii wants us to keep him informed. I think I know what our next adventure is going to be...

Brain Dump: Ceelie
