While those educated prissy nobles call it all hogwash and nonsense, the common folk of the Material Plane set a lot of stock in the cycle of the seasons. There is a time for planting, and a time for harvesting; and a deeper study of these seasons can tell you a lot about the world. Knowing when someone is born can often point towards what kind of person they'll grow up to be. (And even among the nobility, the young folks do love to gossip about these sorts of things.)

Wolf Moon

Children born in the Wolf Moon have a strong sense of family and devotion- both in the sense of a traditional family, and in the larger sense of community. Wolf Moons are protectors; they are more likely to become paladins, or to follow Heironeous or Virton.

Cold Moon

Children of the Cold Moon tend to be introspective and thoughtful, dwelling more in the realm of the philosophical than the mundane. Cold Moons tend to become wizards and sages, and worship Boccob, though some turns towards Simaye.

Wind Moon

Children born in the Wind Moon cannot be pinned down; they are creative and they are wanderers, filled with energy and a roaming spirit. Wind Moons often become bards or illusionists, and often pay homage to Fharlanghn, Olidimarra, or Hiras.

Growing Moon

Children born beneath the Growing Moon tend to be extremely comely and well-liked. Many find themselves in lives of politics or merchantry; those who feel the pull to the life of the adventurer often end up as sorcerers or paladins. No matter what a Growing Moon decides to do with their life, great things are expected from them. They often follow Pelor or Simaye.

Flower Moon

Children of the Flower Moon are gentle spirits, kindly and calm. They tend to be easy-going, and not much fazes them. Many feel called towards the path of the monk or the druid; they tend to worship one of the nature gods, be it Ehlonna, Obad-Hai, or Homani.

Horse Moon

Children of the Horse Moon love to travel just as much as those of the Wind Moon, though for a different reason- they simply must see everything, learn everything! When a child is born during the Horse Moon, his parents know that he is likely to leave home to become an adventurer- often a ranger or rogue. Horse Moons often follow Fharlanghn or Lemani.

Blessing Moon

Children born under the Blessing Moon are kind and giving, unselfish to the extreme, desiring nothing more than to leave a legacy of having made the world a better place. They tend to lead simple lives, but are well loved by all around them. Many become clerics, following such gods as Nirsi and Pelor.

Lightning Moon

Children of the Lightning Moon are often a handful- quick to anger, just as quick to forgive. A Lightning Moon excels at what he or she puts their focus to- but few can keep pace with their speed and focus. Many Lightning Moon become sorcerers or fighters, worshiping Binnell or Kord respectively.

Harvest Moon

Those born beneath the Harvest Moon tend to be tremendously strong. Many Harvest Moons are blessed with an even temper and gentle spirit; but when one such is pushed beyond the bounds of reason, his anger is slow to cool. They tend to become excellent fighters and barbarians, and worship Kord or Obad-hai.

Blood Moon

A child born beneath the blood moon is said to be marked for the mystical, often feeling drawn towards the paths of wizard or cleric. Many necromancers are also born under the Blood Moon. Blood Moons often worship Wee Jas or Laniss.

Snow Moon

Many children of the Snow Moon feel the pull towards the crafting or performing arts. Those who go on to become adventurers often do so as bards or rogues, with the odd sorcerer mixed in there. Creative and inspired, Snow Moons often worship Nirsi or Corellon Larethian.

Dark Moon

Children of the Dark Moon tend to have a strong sense of respect for order and community and are fearless when fighting for what they believe. Many become fighters or even paladins, favoring such gods as St. Cuthbert and Simaye.
