Russell Orchards Cyser

  • 1 gallon Russell Orchards Cider
  • 3.5 lbs Russell Orchards Honey
  • Yeast Energizer
  • Yeast Nutrient
  • Red Star Cuvee Yeast

Brought the cider to a boil and reduced a bit. Added honey and dissolved. Activated yeast in 100F water for 20 minutes. Added energizer and nutrient to must. Pitched at 85F. -Morrigu 8 October 2014

IG: 1.162 @ 84F = 1.165 @ 60F

Racked. A bit of sour apple flavor, and some honey coming through. Definitely more time to go, but I think I fixed the issue with the last batch. Still dark and cloudy. Has lots of potential. -Morrigu 14 December 2014

Bottled. Lots of mead/honey aroma. Apple flavor comes through strong. A little cloudy, but very nice. Aged a year or so it'll be awesome. Still slightly sweet too. --Morrigu (talk) 19:00, 29 September 2015 (EDT)
